The Poul Due Jensen Foundation Turbulence Centre of Excellence is a long-term collaboration between the Poul Due Jensen (Grundfos) Foundation and the DTU Turbulence Research Laboratory headed by Clara M. Velte.
The Poul Due Jensen Foundation supports research and learning within technology and natural science. The Foundation is the majority owner of the global pump manufacturer, Grundfos.
The main objective of the research project is to develop novel, robust, theory based on a combination of advanced experiments and mathematical analysis. To be able to describe turbulence using mathematics, the concept of waves is applied and coupled back to the governing equations of fluid motion.
